So My Birthday Is Gonna Be So Miami....

So Yeah after months and months of prepping and preparing I'm gonna be celebrating my 30th Birthday in South Beach Miami.. Literally I'll be chilling in of the Miami's most famous hotels "The Colony" right off of Ocean Drive... I had trips planned to NYC, Vegas, and even a big ole bash thrown right here in Va but Opted out for something more exotic and tropical and hey you don't turn 30 everyday.. It's quite a milestone for me and I'm excited to be sharing this experience with a few close friends and like family... Not only will this be a Birthday celebration but a graduation celebration as well... I would have accomplished something by finishing school with a degree in Surgical Technology.. God is Greeeeeeeeeeeeeat!

Fantasia "Back to me".. my take on it all...

Okay so amid all the rumors, gossip, and alleged suicide attempt Fantasia delivers a great 3rd album that displays why she won American Idol many moons ago.. From start to finish Fanny takes you on a rollercoaster ride of her ups and downs all of what seems to be rules and lessons of finding what love is...

On tracks "I'm Doin Me", Bittersweet, and The Thrill Is Gone, She displays her Independence, riding the tracks as if she's had enough.. which bugs me as to why she wasn't playing this album during the whole "I just want out" fiasco...

Stand out tracks would have to "Man Of The House", Collard Greens and Cornbread, and Teach Me...

I'm not gonna judge her situation because under the right pressure all of us will crack. We are all human and fall short.. I will say fam isn't for everybody but if she's content on staying in the industry she's gonna have to develop thicker skin otherwise there won't be a next time.

Fantasia a very talented young woman and with her voice, stage presence, and overall personality can see out arenas over the world... She has time to evolve and grow.. Sometimes cutting off people you care about the most is key to elevate. I'm praying her dark days are behind her atleast getting played in the media..

I've been gone for a minute....

Wow the twist and turns of life are so funny sometimes...Even when we have a plan God is always steps ahead of us in what he has in store for our lives. We try to imagine the perfect life and what true happiness consist of. We map out our career goals, potential mates, and even the names of our children all before anything actually happens. This is our way of laying foundation to things not yet seen because we have a certain standard of rules we think our life needs. When in actuality those things are further from the truth.

From Sunday until Today I've been blessed to have God reveal so many wonderful things about myself, others, and the world itself and believe me when I tell you it's been nothing but positive revelations all throughout.

Everyone falls in love... yeah but that doesn't always mean we are destined to be with them forever... Live Life and have fun.. one mans or womans trash is another person's treasure...

Working one job in life is something our grandparents reveled in... times change and so do we... Life today is fast and changing and if we are to survive we need to change and move along with it.. Time waits for no one..

Love, Forgive, and move on.. nobody is enthused to be around a sour puss... Let go of things that harbor no positive vibes and prevent progression. Sometimes we blame others but we are own worst enemies...

Pray, eat healthy, and meditate.... Spend time loving yourself and have a balanced healthy life. Laugh more and read a book... Educate and feed your mind not your stomach... Allow God to speak to and not the other way around...

This is all my words.. nothing I copy and pasted but just things they were dancing inside my cerebellum..(yes being in a med school evolves your vocabulary and choice of words) lol

Guilty Pleasure: TruBlood

I can't get enough of this show.. Tru Blood is that new crack for my eyes. I didn't start getting into it until the last season after playing catch up and I instantly got hooked. The antics of Tara, Bill, and Snookie never cease to amaze me. This season looks to be heating up and the reveal of what "Snookie" really is? Whatever the case this show is interesting and the colorful cast make it that much worthwhile.. Everybody go get hooked on TRUBLOOD!

Tech Tues: HP Envy....

Dr. Dre and Jimmy Lovine, Beats co-founder, have collaborated with HP to develop the HP Envy 15 Beats limited edition. I was invited by HP to listen to the audio quality using the high end Beats by Dr. Dre headphones. There was no word from HP about the built-in loudspeakers' quality, but the device comes with the Beats headphones that we reviewed. HP claims that they enhanced the audio quality working closely with Dr. Dre and Jimmy Lovine, but I could not get specific answers about what exactly has been modified in the hardware components that makes the sound delivered by the laptop so "premium": "trade secret". In my opinion, the major value added in the HP Envy 15 Beats is the audio software integrated with Dr. Dre's unique sound provided as one of the pre-defined profiles, users can create their own sound profiles as well. I listened (with the Beats Headphones) to various songs with and without Dr. Dre's sound profile and it truly adds a lot of depth and quality to the music. Mixing tools that let's anyone (with talent) become a great DJ are provided as well: Native Instruments’ Traktor LE software and Audio 2 DJ. Traktor LE software with Audio 2 DJ multi-channel splitter. Audio 2 DJ boasts two stereo outputs plus the ultra-loud output level in a compact interface.
The device has a great sleek design, branded with the Beats logo, and powerful performances for an even more powerful price: it starts at $ 2,229. It will be available on October 22nd in the US, more info on the product page. Is HP really going after Apple with this sleek design and high end audio software? Quick specs after the jump.

Quick Specs
  • Intel Core i7 Quad Core Mobile
  • 15.6 inch BrightView high-resolution LED backlit display
  • 1-inch thick, weight starts at 5.19 pounds
  • built-in Nightvision VGA webcam

I NEED THIS!

What Lies Ahead...

I can't stress enough about proud I am of myself as I venture into completing my goals I have several things I want to accomplish or be in the process of finishing by my 30th Birthday..

Health and Strength...- I watched so many people in my family suffer from heart disease, hypertension, cancer, and diabetes. It disturbs me that I to will develop those same symptom. They say your metabolism slows down in your 30's and I'm not trying to be a statistic.. my day to day life now consist of less alchohol, no smoking, drinking water regularly, and less sweets (my weakness) lol

Promising Career..- I can't front it's hard out there for a pimp, hustler, and even the skrippers! 18months is not a long time to be completing your career but it when you don't get a break. I'm satisfied nonetheless and I'm blessed for the journey..I pray and home I atleast land a job in the medical field that I can be proud of..

The HP Envy and The New Blackberry #Evl- So my birthday is coming up in a few months and I'm already treating myself to a trip to MIA/South Beach just a few days before my B'Day. So since I'm a semi gadget freak I instantly fell in love with the HP Envy.. I was thinking about pursuing the IPAD, but i'm not  real big fan Of Apple.. I'am however into what Google has in store..Also it seems as though Blackberry is looking to cash into what Droid and the Iphone is bringing and while I think it's to late I'm gonna stay loyal to the brand and hold out until the end of the year and see what Blackberry has in store...

Relationship?--I always wanted to be married with one kid by the time I turned 30 but I guess God has other plans in store and while he's the head of my life I'm gonna let him direct my plans. The one relationship I think I'm running from is maybe where God want's me to be? Sure we've had our ups and downs but things have to be mutual if they are meant to work... only God knows for sure.

I guess that's my bucket list for the last few months until I turn 30.. Stay tuned to see how things turn out..

Almost @ The Finish Line...

In almost 3 months I'll be finished with school and the time has flew by... God granted me the opportunity to find a place to dwell in while I dealt with the storm called life. Since being laid off I've met so many wonderful people, visited so many great places, and been blessed with many great blessings.... He brought me this far and it wasn't to watch me fail.. I got 10 weeks of externship at a local hospital where I will be in the operating room working with doctors and while I'm excited I'm a bit nervous as well... I'm just gonna stay prayed up and ask God to direct my paths.. None of this would have been possible without him... Thank You.

Erykah Badu Feat Rick Ross... Window Seat (remix)

It's funny cause I was blasting Ms. Badu's album the end part of last week and low and behold she releases the video for this video this past Saturday afternoon. I took a break from my family reunion to come inside and preview it. I must say Badu doesn't disppoint by adding one of the hottest rappers out right now Rick Ross to the remix... Great Video once again with the addition of "Get Munny"... If you don't have the album I suggest you invest in such a great body of work...

Really haven't listened to the whole mixtape but from what I'm about to hear I'm already convinced this is gonna be great... I'm always going to support #DMV... Listen and Let me Know!

Bilal "Think It Over" live acoustic....

For those not familiar with Bilal need to get acquainted with these brother's music.. Above is a video of him performing a live set recently in Ny... This guy has been making moves in the industry for sometime and his song "Soul Sista" and this collab with Tweet on "Bestfriend" always stand out to me.. I'm really anticipating his new album and all other future project from Bilal.

big ups to Angel of Concreteloop for the live video...

Tech Tues: The Blackberry Torch...hmmmm

Well it seems as though Blackberry has unleashed it's next new phone and some are wondering "Is It a little too late"? Below is a brief overview of what Blackberry and their RIM network have cooked up:

Among the cavalcade of mobile superstars in this summer’s smartphone extravaganza — which, so far, has boasted the likes of the HTC Evo 4G, the Motorola Droid X, a series of sleek Samsung Galaxy handsets, and (of course) the iPhone 4 — one marquee name has been noticeably absent: the BlackBerry.
Well, in the final weeks of summer, Research in Motion (along with carrier partner AT&T — and yes, we're talking another AT&T exclusive here) is looking to make a better-late-than-never splash with the BlackBerry Torch 9800, a new QWERTY slider with a redesigned touchscreen OS that the mobile giant hopes can garner the same kind of buzz that Android handsets like the Evo and the Droid X and the new iPhone have been enjoying for the past few months. (Well, Apple probably didn’t “enjoy” all the “Antennagate” buzz, but at least people were talking about it.)

Well the article goes in further but from the looks of things Blackberry is rolling out some artillery to compete with the big dogs. This is a pleasant welcome as I mentioned to a friend that BB needed to step their game up.. PRONTO! Not sure how well these will sell but one thing is for sure they seem to be on the right track even though they have a ways to go if they wanna keep up with the current market...

Parting The Red Sea Of Life..

Just like when Moses with the help of God parted the Red Sea.. we sometimes must part the Red Sea's of life in order to get where God is trying to take us.. Just like the Egyptians held the Hebrews back so does the issues of life whether it be people or things. I'm very thankful for God has brought me and elated for where he's about to take me...
